City tour: Freiburg under National Socialism

On a tour of the city, historian Julia Wolrab gives an overview of Freiburg during the Nazi era. The tour leads from Rathausplatz via the university and the old synagogue square to the former tourist information office on Rotteckring. The National Socialism Documentation Center will be built here by March 2025. The tour is part of the series of events taking place on the occasion of the performance of the War Requiem. The series of events is a cooperation between the Documentation Center for National Socialism, the Freiburg Bach Choir, the Studium Generale of the Albert-Ludwigs-University campus Freiburg and the College of Music Freiburg. The meeting point for the city tour is the City Hall, Rathausplatz 2-4. Participation is free of charge. Registration is required by Monday, October 14, by e-mail to dzns@freiburg.de.
