Sud-Ouest - wine-growing region with tradition and potential for discovery

The wine region of southwest France lies between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. The region's wine tradition dates back to the Romans, but Sud-Ouest recovered only with difficulty after the phylloxera epidemic of 1860-1890. Recently, however, there has been a spirit of optimism. Discover appellations such as Cahors, Madiran, Fronton or Saint Mont with the Tannat, Malbec, Duras or Cabernet Franc grape varieties.
