Scenic reading with Nicola Trub, Boris Pietsch and Jakob Stolte - "Lessons in humility"

Free entry

The Goethe-Institut Freiburg cordially invites you to a staged reading with Nicola Trub and Boris Pietsch, musically accompanied by Jakob Stolte on the cello.

The focus is on poems and texts by the poets Rainer Maria Rilke (* 1875 in Prague; † 1926 in Valmont near Montreux, Switzerland) and Victor Johannes Trub (* 1948 in Freiburg; † 2020 in the same place). In an alternating lecture, their works interweave to create a dialog that poses questions about truth, light and resurrection - and touches on timeless themes of human existence.

Nicola Trub, born in Freiburg, has been performing as an actress on theater, film and festival stages in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy since 2000.

Boris Pietsch works as an actor, director and conceptual artist and has been involved in numerous international productions.

Jakob Stolte is a concert cellist and music teacher who studied in Munich and Paris.

A production of the Rilke Festival Styer for two voices and a cello in a moving performative scenery of language, sound and image.

The event will take place at the Goethe-Institut in Freiburg. Afterwards, all guests are invited to enjoy a glass of wine and a personal exchange with the artists.
