Library Day & Book Sale

Germany's network of public libraries is unique: 11,000 lending libraries between the North Sea coast and the edge of the Alps satisfy the country's hunger for reading. To emphasize the importance and educational mission of libraries, the Carl-Schurz-Haus library is once again celebrating Libraries Day this year: Come along from 11 a.m. and browse through a large selection of English and German-language books and magazines, take part in our literary activities for young and old or get into conversation with each other and our library team over a cup of coffee.
