In the state between wakefulness and sleep, the music of the last festival evening takes us to forgotten places, déjà-vus, absurdities, fears, longings and a world in which the laws of logic are turned upside down.

Diese Vielschichtigkeit und Gegensätzlichkeit, die wir in unseren Träumen finden, spiegelt sich im Repertoire des Abends wieder: Die Premiere eines Stückes des US-Perkussionisten und Pioniers des modernen Rahmentrommelspiels Glen Velez »Searching for a forgotten Place«, eine Uraufführung »Cheeel Chae - Between layers of Dreams« von Murat Coskun sowie weitere Stücke u.Edvard Grieg, Sulkhan Tsintsadze, Komitas Vardapet, Marina Baranova, Gürkan Balkan and Annette Maye - as arrangements and compositions for string orchestra and frame drums or percussion.

The 20th Tamburi Mundi Festival comes to a brilliant conclusion with the Freiburg string orchestra Camerata Academica and a large line-up of excellent musicians on oud, harp, clarinets, accordion and frame drums!
