tell.me.sth.new! - Julia Klockow

Book tickets

tell.me.sth.new! explores the transformative power of cutting. The interdisciplinary dance performance is inspired by the autobiographical stories of three people who responded to a call for information on the topic of identity change and clothing.

Together, the artistic team creates a fictional experiential space that examines the triangle of identity, transformation and clothing in terms of a social skin. Julia Klockow performs on stage with scissors in dance, percussionist Maria Luisa Pizzighella on the multi-channel drum set and figure designer Claude Bwendua, supported by the three storytellers. In an exploratory dance, Klockow cuts up pieces of clothing that relate to the three autobiographical stories. Cut by cut, the way is cleared for the new.
