THE HEAT HAT

Live music for dancing is far too rare. That's exactly why The Heat Hat comes to Freiburg once a year to really heat things up. The eight of them bring a funk-rock mix to the stage that gets straight to your feet and invites you to dance and party. The program includes songs by Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, Prince, Queen, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder - well-known classics, reinterpreted and full of energy.

The Heat Hat's concerts have a clear aim: to spread a good mood. Eight friends who make music together, go on vacation, celebrate parties and, above all, love one thing - making people dance. That's exactly what you can feel at every performance.

The Heat Hat has been on stage for 15 years now. It all started as a four-piece with Sebastian Röser on piano, Dominik Heieck on drums, Matthias Jakobi on saxophone and Lena Knobloch on vocals. The band has since grown: Kathrin Schneider on vocals, Michael Goldschmidt on guitar, Wolfgang Zumpe on trumpet and Markus Winterhalter on bass complete the eight-piece line-up.
