Tobias Schick "Sound as structure"

Tobias Schick "Sound as structure"

Music history is sometimes told as a process of a gradual expansion of creative freedom. Composing in the 20th century is thus characterized by an emancipation of timbre. The lecture uses works by Mark Andre,
Pierluigi Billone, Rebecca Saunders and his own works to demonstrate various possibilities for composing sounds that go beyond conventional tonal relationships.
In cooperation with the Interessengemeinschaft Freiburger Komponisten (IFK)
