Program

Piano literature in interpretation and improvisation

In this concert, interpretation and improvisation meet in a special way. A space opens up between two compositions. A moment of change in which music reinvents itself.

Students from the piano classes at the College of Music Freiburg play works from the piano literature. In between, improvised transitions are created: students on the Master's course in Piano Improvisation take up motifs and moods from the previous piece and continue them until the sound of the next work unfolds. In this way, the transition itself becomes art - flowing, surprising and only born in the moment of the concert.
