Laying the Stolperschwelle Forced labor

The first "stumbling block" in Freiburg is intended to commemorate the many people who had to perform forced labor in the city during the Nazi terror. The stone will be laid in front of the National Socialism Documentation Center, Rotteckring 14. Afterwards, a Stolperstein will also be replaced in front of the "Basler Hof", formerly the headquarters of the Gestapo, Kaiser-Joseph-Str.167. Four new Stolpersteine will also be placed at Schusterstraße 23 for Lotte Paepcke, husband Dr. E. A. Paepcke, brother Hans Mayer and their son Peter Paepcke. Further relocations are planned from October 13. The Stolperschwelle is a joint project of STOLPERSTEINEN in Freiburg and the DZNS.
