From the Kothgässel to the Beurbarung (guided tour)

The houses along the roadside between the northern part of the old town and the Brühl-Beurbarung district could tell harrowing stories. Stories of war, persecution and hardship, but also of civil courage, important research and the achievements of reconstruction. The tour leaves the city centre and then crosses the Institute Quarter in Neuburg, which was almost completely destroyed by bombs and where relics of earlier buildings can still be seen. However, the French occupation also left architectural traces here. The tour ends with the Beurbarung workers' housing estate, a listed building and a proud symbol of social housing. Why the buildings along the railroad line are so picturesque will be revealed on site. Walking distance about 2 kilometers. - Registration required.
