Lecture: Marta Kuhn-Weber and her time in Karlsruhe

Art historian Sylvia Bieber talks about Marta Kuhn-Weber's eventful time as a student in Karlsruhe at the Museum für Neue Kunst (Museum of Contemporary Art). The artist was one of the first female students at the Badische Landeskunstschule Karlsruhe in the early 1920s. Around the academy, she attracted the attention of teachers and fellow students such as Karl Hubbuch, Hanna Nagel, Liselotte Grschebina, Erwin Spuler and Anton Weber. They all portrayed Marta in drawings, photographs or lithographs - these form the starting point of the lecture. Participation costs the regular entrance fee.
