Terra Preta lecture
Friday, 26/09/2025 / 07:30 PM - 09:00 PM / Waldorf School St. Georgen
Free entry
The deep black, fertile soil - once created by indigenous peoples in the Amazon region - is more relevant today than ever. Terra Preta stands for hope, for change and for an agriculture that preserves life instead of consuming it.
What does this special soil have to do with climate protection, the circular economy, biodiversity and resilience? How can old knowledge be turned into a new path for our planet?
This event is the kick-off for a project "Train the Trainers - Production and Application of Terra Preta" funded by the Erasmus Plus program of the EU.
All interested parties, farmers, gardeners and hobby gardeners are welcome to attend this first event! Further training is planned for people who work in this field and would like to spread knowledge about Terra Preta.
A workshop with concrete production of biochar and Terra Preta will take place on the weekend of September 27/28, 2025.
