Hike: Climate change on the Schauinsland

Hike: Climate change on the Schauinsland

The tour begins with a ride on the Schauinsland cable car to the summit of Freiburg's local mountain. From there, you will hike downhill back to the valley station together with district forester Philipp Schell. On the way, you will see how the forest is changing due to climate change and what attempts are being made to adapt it to the current challenges.

The hike takes place on steep, stony, partly pathless terrain. The hike takes place in all weathers and there are no refreshment stops. Therefore, "off-road capability", good footwear, weather-appropriate clothing as well as a snack and drinks are absolutely essential. Meeting point: Schauinslandbahn valley station
