Choral music from the Renaissance, Romantic and modern periods with the Ensemble Convivium

Ensemble Convivium was founded at the end of the 1990s as a student ensemble in Freiburg. After graduating, the 20 or so singers dispersed throughout Germany and beyond. However, the desire arose to continue making music as a project choir to this day. The ensemble will perform again in Freiburg in February 2026.

For the new program, the ensemble has selected works by Lassus, Gibbons, Brahms, Wolf and others.

Ingo Kraus has conducted the ensemble in numerous concerts in Germany and abroad since 1998. The focus of his musical work lies in the vocal music of the Renaissance

Renaissance and early Baroque.
