Wine tasting with Niklas Lang

After training as a wine cooper, Niklas Lang embarked on years of travel and gained experience at various wineries, including Ökonomierat Rebholz, Manincor, Jauslin and Jim Barry Wines. In 2021, alongside his job as cellar master at Weingut Zähringer, he began making his own wine. The vineyards are in Mauchen and are cultivated biodynamically. He describes his working method in the cellar as low intervention, which means that he does without technical equipment, filtration and fining and intervenes as little as possible in the development of the wine.

He limits himself to the most important varieties for him in Markgräflerland, Gutedel and Pinot Noir, and makes 800 bottles per year.

In addition to his own wines, the young winemaker will present a few wines from the Zähringer winery range. The wines and Niklas' presentation will be accompanied by homemade nut bread.
