As a violinist, teacher, composer and founder of various international competitions and festivals, Wolfgang Marschner was a formative musical personality in the German post-war period.

Former pupils, colleagues, supporters and companions offer rare musical insights and a panel discussion into an eventful life from a child prodigy to his time at the front during the war, the post-war period with the reconstruction of music, modernism, a stellar solo career and the founding of many competitions, festivals and a significant international activity as a juror and teacher.
