Workshop on family biographical research (Workshop)

Price: 52.00€

The workshop offers the children's and grandchildren's generation assistance with biographical approaches to family history(ies) during the 1930s and 1940s. How and where can family history be researched in archives, on the Internet, in databases and online catalogs as a contribution to the culture of remembrance? Participants will learn how family research can yield unexpected results through access to archives, libraries and sources, including the so-called "deep web". The focus of the search for traces is on German and Czech archives and sources. The workshop is interactive, includes a guided search for one's own roots and group discussions; it is also aimed at people who have done little family research to date. - Registration required.
