Rudolf Steiner, as the reincarnation of Thomas Aquinas, was the first universal spirit in the West to lift the ban on teaching the idea of reincarnation imposed by the Catholic Church in the 6th century on his own initiative. Steiner thus comprehensively fulfilled Kant's postulate of the "immortality" of the human soul. Since then, the West has been able to catch up with Asia's intellectual lead in this field.
