Between drought and flood: Germany facing a water emergency

Journalist and bestselling author Uwe Ritzer will be speaking about the growing water problems in Germany on Tuesday, October 8 at 7 pm at the Katholische Akademie Freiburg, Wintererstr. 1. In addition to water shortages, which are affecting more and more regions due to excessive consumption and falling groundwater levels, the focus will also be on the challenges posed by increasing flood disasters. Ritzer sheds light on the causes of these developments and shows what measures are needed now. This will be followed by a discussion on possible solutions.

The event is being offered in collaboration with the Musella Foundation for a Socio-Ecological Future, both on site and online.
