The Kastaniengarten Freiburg is a popular meeting place, especially in summer. Locals, students and tourists come here to enjoy the sunset with a freshly tapped beer - after all, the chestnut garden at Greifenegg Schlössle is known as a hotspot for sunset photos. But it's also worth a visit during the day. With pretzels, tarte flambée or a hearty Weißwurst breakfast, you can enjoy a great view of the old town all the way to the Rhine plain.
