Staatsweingut Freiburg (Freiburg state vineyard)

Wine-pressing as a state affair

Across 37 hectares, the vintners of the Freiburg State Vineyard tend to high-quality crops. Whether Riesling, Chardonnay, or Burgundy vines – thanks to the region's mild climate and decades of experience, this is where the pure pleasure of wine is made.

The vineyard’s light, fruity wines are just as convincing as the premium wines from the Blankenhornsberg and Schlossberg sites, which combine the best of the vintage and grade.

Architecture of the Staatsweingut

The newly built vinotheque of the Staatsweingut was conceived in the area of the former cooking rooms in such a way that a maximally promotional appearance is achieved via generous glazing.

In addition to the sales room, a tasting area and back office rooms were realized, which together represent the central direct sales of the winery. The aim was to create an appealing atmosphere that meets the functional requirements of a salesroom as well as the emotional requirements of a tasting room.

The clear shapes and the reduced colours and materials of the interior concept reflect the attitude of the winery, which is known for its classic, varietal and high-quality wines.
