1st symphony concert

Our mini-festival BRAHMS - EIN HERBST will run throughout the fall. We start our concert season with a special tribute to the great Hamburg composer of the Romantic period. At the heart of the program are his four symphonies. On two consecutive days, the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Brahms' symphonies in two symphony concerts. There will be two symphonies per concert and there will be two conductors per concert, each conducting one of the symphonies: General Music Director André de Ridder and Gerhard Markson will juxtapose their individual interpretations of these symphonic masterpieces, offering the audience direct comparisons of interpretation and allowing the four symphonies to shine in their individuality.
