Dorothea and Christof Gerlitz are in their late 50s when they set off on an extraordinary journey. Their route takes them very slowly from Sweden to Norway and across the Arctic Circle. They don't just want to be tourists, so they look for work in between. In return for board and lodging. What is initially an overwhelming experience soon becomes a welcome challenge. Every place is different, the tasks varied and unfamiliar, the people special. The landscape and nature are magnificent anyway. Each job opens up new insights and changes your perspective. Ultimately, it is the many wonderful encounters that are the real highlights of this trip.
