Finding and implementing image ideas

Good pictures shine not only through exceptional coloring, but also through a successful composition - it is therefore important to combine knowledge of color and composition. Supplemented by technical finesse and craftsmanship, works with an individual style are created. Small exercises and sketches make it easier to get started and form the basis for a goal-oriented work of art. Chance is certainly an impulse-giving variable in the picture-finding process, but we should not leave everything to chance. Particularly in the case of abstract works that are rather devoid of content, we often hear "I could do that too!" When these people then sit in front of their blank canvas, nothing more comes to mind and they realize that the first step into more free painting is always the most difficult. Illustrations brought along from illustrated books, magazines, vacation photographs or parts of their own works create an interesting basis for later works. We work with solid and liquid acrylic paints and, if desired, with modified light structure paste. In the style of mixed media, drawing tools - crayons, pencils, chalks, pens - can also be used as desired. You can find a list of materials here.
