As part of the film series "Anatomy of a Festival - Best of Cannes 2023", the Aka-Filmclub is showing selected films from the Cannes Film Festival 2023.
The Aka-Filmclub visited the Cannes Film Festival 2023 and selected the five most impressive films for this year's Aka-Filmclub program from a total of 50 films screened as part of the "Best of Cannes 2023" series. It starts with the award-winning French courtroom drama "Anatomy of a Case" by Justine Triet. It continues with the truth-based drama Olfa's Daughters by Kaouther Ben Hania, which deals with the radicalization of two daughters. This is followed by the thriller "Club Zero" by Jessia Hausner, which follows a new charismatic teacher at an elite school who founds a nutrition cult. This is followed by the Oscar-winning drama "Zone of Interest" by Jonathan Glazer, which is about the family of Auschwitz commander Rudolf Höss, who live in a deceptive idyll next to the extermination camp. The series concludes with the winner of the Queer Palm Cannes 2023 "Innocence" by Hirukazu Koreeda.
