TAIWAN X TANGO X CINEMA

Tango and films have been intertwined in the pulse of world history since the last century. Numerous touching poetic creations have resulted. Four talented musicians, Ruei-Ran Wu, a composer and bandoneonist who has been nominated twice for the Golden Horse Awards (Taiwan) in the film music category, Richard Lee, a violinist who has starred in film and television dramas, Mon-Puo Lee, a Spanish cellist of Taiwanese origin who has won numerous international awards, and Kuan-Han Wu, the outstanding pianist who lives in Vienna, will take the audience on a journey through the magical time and space tunnel of tango and film with the help of musical narratives.tion into the magical time and space tunnel of sound and image scenes, bringing the classical dance scenes with tango in films back to life.

Performances will include film music by Ruei-Ran Wu from the film "When Love Comes" (2010); the theme song from the TV series "We Best Love" by Xi Huan (2021) performed by Richard Lee, the most popular tango music in films "Por una cabeza" by Carlos Gardel (1935), "Tango Apasionado" by Astor Piazzolla (1988); furthermore, the title song of the films "Il Postino" by Luis Enrique Bacalov (1994) and "Somewhere in Time" by John Barry (1980). Finally, the classic Astor Piazzolla's "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" (1965-1970) will be performed.
