Eugen-Keidel-Turm (Schauinslandturm)
The Eugen Keidel Tower, often referred to as the Schauinsland Tower, rises majestically on the Schauinsland in the Black Forest and offers visitors a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Built in 1980, the tower is a popular excursion destination for hikers, nature lovers and families.
A spiral staircase takes visitors to the viewing platform, which offers spectacular views as far as the Alps on a clear day. The view of Freiburg and the Rhine plain that stretches out at the foot of the tower is particularly impressive.
There are numerous hiking trails around the tower that lead through the picturesque nature of the Black Forest. An informative information board on site provides fascinating information about the history of the region and the flora and fauna of Schauinsland.
