In his studio on Insel 1 in the middle of Freiburg's Schneckenvorstadt district, master goldsmith Rainer Töpler not only sells jewelry that he has designed and made himself. He also offers repairs, alterations and truly unique pieces that customers help to design. His hand-engraved motifs on watch dials are also very popular: Based on photos or drawings, he gilds and rhodium-plates the desired image - a job that only a few master goldsmiths are still able to do.
