In the exhibition stoffwechsel, four people meet whose lives intersected at different times in the art space of a Freiburg school. The artists Mirjam Walter (Hamburg) and Miriam Wieser (Freiburg) and the curator Andrea Karle (Weimar) were invited by their former art teacher Eva Rosenstiel to work together at the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst im E-WERK Freiburg. The three artists provide an insight into their work, which ranges from painting to photography, installation and performance. The title stoffwechsel already hints at the different facets of their work: In addition to textiles as a subject, one aspect is the transformation and changeability of image carriers. In addition, the processing of everyday perceptions through painting can be experienced.

In the exhibition stoffwechsel (metabolism), four people whose lives crossed at different times in the art room of a school in Freiburg come together. The artists Mirjam Walter (Hamburg) and Miriam Wieser (Freiburg), as well as the curator Andrea Karle (Weimar), have been invited by their former art teacher Eva Rosenstiel to collaborate at the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst at the E-WERK Freiburg. The German expression "stoffwechsel" in the title already hints at the different aspects of their work: In addition to textiles as a subject, one aspect is the transformation and variability of image carriers. In addition, the transformation of everyday experiences through painting becomes tangible.
